My journey in furniture making began over four decades ago, watching my father work in his home workshop. What started as a part-time hobby—filling our home with handmade pieces—has evolved into a full-time pursuit of craftsmanship and design.

After a long career designing industrial equipment, I’ve returned to my roots, channeling my creative energy into building furniture. While wood is a different medium than iron, aluminum, or steel, I approach it with the same respect for structure, economy, and purpose. My designs reflect a fusion of traditional woodworking and industrial sensibility.

I work primarily with Pennsylvania hardwoods – cherry, oak, ash, maple – sourced from local sawmills whenever possible.  My designs favor straight lines and angles over curves, drawing inspiration from the simplicity of Shaker and Mission / Craftsman styles. I often incorporate exposed fasteners and structural elements—details borrowed from my engineering background—to highlight the honesty of construction and celebrate the mechanics behind the form.

I build furniture with the belief that simplicity is not a limitation, but a discipline. Each piece is crafted with intention—no excess, no shortcuts. I select wood for its strength and character, allowing its grain and texture to shape the final form. My process is hands-on and deliberate, rooted in traditional techniques and a commitment to lasting quality

Each piece is built with intention: solid, functional, and quietly expressive. Each piece is finished with care, using low-VOC water-based finishes whenever possible to ensure durability and environmental responsibility.

My goal is to create furniture that feels both familiar and fresh—rooted in tradition yet shaped by a lifetime of design experience.
